Positive Stop Cylinder Press

Our customer needed to stop the ram down stroke precisely at the same point every time. As the picture indicates we used a positive stop cylinder by using a positive stop cylinder which is done by two nuts adjustments tightened together on an upper thread rod.

The cylinder is placed on our standard 35 ton Phoenix bench press. The cylinder has a 7” diameter bore and 5” diameter rod. 1.5-12 Female thread x 3 deep in end of rod. Three diameter stop rod thru the cap of the cylinder. Adjusting nut to control the length of the stroke.

The hydraulic system has water to oil heat exchanger with a thermostatic water regulating valve and 12 GPM constant delivery vane pump.
