Phoenix Hydraulic Presses Builds Two Multiple Press Units: Presses designed to improve cycle times   Columbus, OH—March 26, 2008—Phoenix Hydraulic Presses, Inc. announces production of two 30 Ton, 2-Column multiple press units for a 1st tier automotive supplier.   Each unit, or cell, includes four separate 30 ton presses individually driven by a single power unit. Each of the four presses feature 13” x 14” heated platens with insulation on the bottom and side, capable of reaching working temperatures up to 700 degrees.  The cells were designed to build pressure on one press while allowing movement of the next press platen for improved cycle times   The presses will be controlled by an Allen Bradley Panel View 1000 operator interface, and an Allen Bradley 505 programmable controller with 10 slot rack, 32 inputs, 16 outputs, and an Ethernet port.    The 150 gallon hydraulic reservoir will be floor mounted and have spin on filters.    Both cells will be used in bonding applications, primarily bonding a paper material to a metallic ring.   Phoenix’s press can be designed in a variety of tonnages and engineered to meet custom specifications.   For additional information on the featured cells or other hydraulic presses, contact Chuck Sherman at (614) 850-8940 x102 or visit www.phoenixhydraulic.com.   About Phoenix Hydraulic Presses, Inc.— Phoenix has been engineering and manufacturing quality hydraulic presses since 1987. Their presses are designed in a wide variety of frame styles and tonnages and can be engineered to meet custom specifications.
